ASBB Membership

The Australasian Society of Building Biologists offers four levels of membership:

  • Practitioner Membership
  • Non-practising Membership
  • Student Membership

Application for membership is made in conduction with the ASBB Code of Conduct which must be read and agreed to as part of the application process. The relevant forms are available to download at the bottom of this page. Membership payments can now be made via PayPal – accessible via this page. Membership is due for renewal on the 28th of February each year. Notification of renewal is issued in early February.

Why Join The ASBB

The Australasian Society of Building Biologists (ASBB) has been educating and assisting the public, business, health practitioners and the government about issues related to the built environment since its inception in 2007.

  • Support and debriefing for difficult situations experienced while working as a Building Biologist
  • Use of the ASBB logo on websites and printed material
  • Featured placement on the ASBB website

LEVELS OF MEMBERSHIP:

Practitioner Membership

Practitioner membership is open to persons who hold either a Certificate of Building Biology or a Diploma of Building Biology.

Practitioner members receive the following rights and privileges:

  • Full voting rights
  • Entitlement to stand for nomination to the Executive Committee
  • Right to use the title MASBB (Member of the ASBB)
  • Right to use the ASBB logo and name on printed matter
  • Free listing on the ASBB’s Find a Building Biologist referral list
  • Participation in meetings and training days throughout the year

Annual fee: $110.

Non-Practising Membership

Non-practising membership is open to persons who hold either a Certificate of Building Biology or a Diploma of Building Biology but are not currently practicing. Yearly CPD points still need to be accrued.

Annual fee: $50.

Student Membership

Student membership is open to persons who are currently undertaking studies to obtain either a Certificate of Building Biology or a Diploma of Building Biology.

Student members receive the following rights and privileges:

  • Full voting rights
  • Entitlement to stand for nomination as the student representative on the Executive Committee
  • Participation in meetings and training days throughout the year

Annual fee: $45.
