The Australasian Society of Building Biologists offers three levels of membership - practitioner, student and associate.
There are three categories of membership :
Application for membership is made via an application form which, atogether with the Society's Code of Conduct which must be read and agreed to as part of the application process, can be obtained on request to us .
Membership is due for renewal on 1st March each year. Notification of renewal is issued in February.
Practitioner Membership
Practitioner membership is open to persons who hold either a Certificate of Building Biology or a Diploma of Building Biology.
Practitioner members receive the following rights and privileges :
- Full voting rights
- Entitlement to stand for nomination to the Executive Committee
- Right to use the title MASBB (Member of the ASBB)
- Right to use the ASBB logo and name on printed matter
- Free listing on the ASBB’s Find a Building Biologist referral list
- Participation in bi-monthly field trips or discussion groups
Annual fee : $50.
Student Membership
Student membership is open to persons who are currently undertaking studies to obtain either a Certificate of Building Biology or a Diploma of Building Biology.
Student members receive the following rights and privileges :
- Full voting rights
- Entitlement to stand for nomination as the student representative on the Executive Committee
- Participation in bi-monthly field trips or discussion groups
Annual fee : $35.
Associate Membership
Associate membership is open to persons or corporations, with an interest in Building Biology, who are ineligible for either practitioner or student membership.
Associate members receive the following rights and privileges :
- Participation in bi-monthly field trips or discussion groups
Annual fee : $20.
